Here's how the orphanage visit went today:
Happy Birthday to you (waaaaah)
Happy Birthday to you (waaaaah)
Happy Birthday dear ????? (louder waaaaah)
Happy Birthday to you (waaaaah)
(sigh)...Still crying, but I think we're down to about 70% of our visit now. We even managed to get a belly laugh out of him before we left. But as soon as he stopped laughing, he started crying again. It's like he's having a good time and then realizes he's not supposed to be. We saw him crawl on all fours just a bit today.
We had an incredible blessing today. We have been in contact with some Americans living over here, and they picked us up today and we had lunch at their home this afternoon. It was so nice to get away from our apartment and have a conversation in English. Unfortunately they are Green Bay Packer fans and not Cowboy fans, but I won't hold it too much against them as the food we ate was the best we've had in 7 days!! Doug is already trying to brainwash their children to thinking University of Oklahoma is the best. Thank you guys for a wonderful afternoon!! :)

Boomer Sooner! Doug is a very smart man!! Happy Birthday to your little guy! You'll be celebrating with him in your arms forever before you know it.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to your little one. How wonderful that you could spend this day with him, but a bummer that he was so unhappy. Oh yeah, Go Pokes!!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday Little Man!!!! The days are flying by and soon you will be able to bring the birthday boy home for his birthdays for ever more;-). I am so happy he cries as that is a great sign for bonding with you!!! Maybe it's a Siberian thing as our little girl was the same way. Personally, I think they just take really good care of those babies and the babies learn to trust and love their care providers. Congrats and enjoy the ride!!! Many blessings..Trisha (mom2R10)
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to your beautiful son! Each day it gets better and better and soon you'll be back home together and it will seems like you've always been together. Glad you met some other Americans - you need some good conversations and a little fun!
